So, I have both BC and Vanilla installed, and am trying to patch my game up to play. However, whenever I try there is no transfer of data. I noticed that I was trying to download the update from 3.3 or somethign to 4.0, and wondered if the problem was that I simply don't have anything before that installed either. Can anyone help?

The patches before Cata were so issue-ridden - I would say what Blizzard said - erase your current copy of WoW and download the whole thing from them. Not that I'm an expert. ;)

do you know where exactly to download the stuff? i feel like i clicked that button and got nowhere. =/ i know i did that 2 years ago when i got my laptop, but with the new site, i'm all lost lol

I got it. finally lol. I had actaully clicked the right button in the past, but never gotten it to work. Finally it did, and is currently downloading everything I need :) thanks for the help y'all :)
