I would only get a dual-band router (cuz I'm a snob like that). I have the Apple Airport Extreme and I like it. I recently bought this Vizio router (http://reviews.cnet.com/routers/vizio-xwr100-dual-band/4505-3319_7-34122884.html?tag=mncol;lst;1) for my mother ... so far, so good. Got a good rating and the price is great.
